STATEMENT
My studio work is abstract expressionism. I use shapes developed through decades of writing my name, large-scale, on walls. I let the mind unwind with the goal of documenting current thoughts and paterns.
As an artist, my work is split between a studio practice and writing my name on surfaces.
My studio practice allows me to share my process of working through thoughts, ideas, and concepts.
I spraypaint my name on walls for fellowship and marking time. It’s a pattern of activity that I’ve engaged in for 4+ decades.
It has truly been a blessing to see how far the graffiti writing culture has expanded throughout the world.
In my commissioned work, my goal is to create a balance of graffiti undercurrents and meeting the client’s objectives. So far, so good… : )
